A drummer without his kit. A frog without his pond. I am it - here for the play. With these arms I live in the universe. Dreaming and sensing something delicate and fleeting. Let's hit some sticks together and maybe that's enough for now.

Imagined external forces appear. I am a dance; twisted and never comfortable but enjoying. The drama, the drummer. A cape-tivating character out of my own heart and a comic book. Sending out messages that are not understood. The 52 hertz is now lost. Is there hope in the absurd? 

 

Lady with a harp

This is a love note to dance and the corporeal. Some days I’m a bird who shyly sings from harp strings. Other times I go over the top and over again as a body from which life bursts forth. This dance is an attempt at touching the base and the divine in non-religious ways.

Working methods

 

We conceived this work out of a desire to work primarily in the role of performer but still within the limits of the collective. For the two members not performing, the role moves somewhere between choreographer, director, back-up singer, dialogue partner, dramaturg and friend.
