The Prequel

 

This project is the continuation of the Bunch of Scrumps Collective’s previous projects. The objective of the artistic work is the creation of a history for existing performances. Like prequels found in novels or in the cinema it operates as the backstory while also containing its own drama. Some key words and ideas for “The Prequel”: reverse-dance, the dance before the dance, lifting the drumsticks, foreshadowing, pseudo-origins, the dance that you forgot you knew and disturbed nostalgia. 

 

Phase 1: 27th, 28th and 30th November, 2024. Vapaan Taiten Tila, Helsinki.* with Ines Kakkonen replacing Maja.​

 

Phase 2: April 2025 Belgrade and Novi Sad, Serbia. 

 

Phase 3: May 2025 Jubliana, Slovenia. JSKD residency. ​

 

Phase 4: June 2025 Kesälahti Finland.Sovintola Gallery.​
